About
Copic is a hand drawn script inspired by a European handwriting style practised to this day by commercial sign painters. The font is a mix of brushstroke and markerstroke, featuring a strong stroke contrast and a slightly old fashioned look.
It’s straight forward and very readable, but sports details revealing the sign painters enjoyment. And most importantly, it is geared towards selling something.
Copic offers useful extras that support the advertorial spirit, for instance ligatures for „and“, „or“ and „if“, as well as a wide range of currency signs, stars, under-strokes, dashes, arrows etc.
Its supposed to be published in late 2025.
